A servlet is a server side programming language .A servlet is a technology provided by Sun Microsystem which facilitate dynamic web applications in java.A software developer may use a servlet to add dynamic content to a Web server using the Java platform. JSP combines HTML and XML with Java TM servlet (server application extension) and JavaBeans technologies to create a highly productive environment for developing and deploying reliable, interactive, high-performance platform-independent Web sites.

J2ME was designed and released by Sun Microsystems (now subsidiary of Oracle) developed under the Java Community Process as Java Specification Request (JSR) 68, the platform replaced a similar technology Personal Java (It is a Java edition for mobile and embedded systems based on Java 1.1.8). This version aimed at embedded and resource constrained devices especially wireless devices.

The Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) 3.0 specification defines an architecture for the development and deployment of transactional. It’s a distributed object applications-based and also it’s a server-side software components. The Organizations can build their own components or purchase components from third-party vendors.

ADO.NET is Microsoft’s platform for data access in its new .NET Framework. It is scalable, interoperable, and familiar enough to ADO developers to be immediately usable and By design, the ADO.NET object model and many of the ADO.NET code constructs will look very familiar to ADO developers.

C# (pronounced “see sharp”) is a multi-paradigm programming language encompassing imperative, declarative, functional, generic, object-oriented (class-based), and component-oriented programming disciplines.
